Our Centre
Our facilities and resources at Zizu’s are second to none and the centre continually strives to find innovative ways of promoting and stimulating children’s development in today’s digital world.

From the moment you walk into the centre you’ll notice the warm, friendly and stimulating environment where you child will feel secure, happy and valued.
Biometric Security

In the reception area you will find state-of-the-art biometric security. We use facial recognition hardware and software to identify individual’s physical characteristics and provide authorization to employees, parents and carers, so you can rest assured your child is safe and secure in our centre.
Biophilic Design
Our centre has been designed with development in mind and we use biophilic design throughout to bring elements of nature into the building.
In our centre we use flax and grass like carpet tiles, plants are in every room, along with natural light and bright colours following the jungle theme. By incorporating direct and indirect elements of nature into the nursery, we have been able to create a built environment which research shows reduces stress, blood pressure levels and heart rates, whilst increasing productivity, creativity and self reported rates of well-being.
Studies conducted in schools with biophilic features have found that:
- classrooms with plants can see improved performance in spelling, mathematics and science subjects of 10% to 14%
- green walls improve acoustics and air quality whilst reducing CO2 levels in spaces with poor ventilation
- reduced absenteeism of 3.5 days per pupil
Light and Space
All of our themed rooms allow for natural light to flow through the windows which has been proven to promote better learning. Studies show that children learn 20% to 25% faster when natural light is present.
Here at Zizu’s Day Care & Learning Centre we cater for children from birth to 11 years old and our centre reflects this too.
The centre is committed to following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), providing both adult and child-led activities, which allow the children to learn through play. We have a range of different rooms for different age groups and activities.
Messy Room

Painting is an important part of early years education and involves more than just splashing vivid colours on a piece of paper. It allows children to convey ideas, express emotions, use their senses, explore colour, explore process and outcomes, and the end results provides a sense of achievement.
Our Messy Room is for kids of all ages. Nursery-goers can get creative with a range of activities including painting, Play-Doh, glue and stick, hand and feet painting and lots more.
Leo Lion’s Club

Depicted with stunning animals murals on the wall, Leo Lion’s Club brings the jungle theme alive at Zizu’s Day Care. This room is for 0 – 2 year olds and has a range of different areas and activities, which have been well thought out for the development of your child. The room includes a sleep and cosy corner with cots, mats and blankets for the little ones who need to take a little time out. It also has it’s own sensory corner which is full of stimulating equipment to get the mind moving, and a story and song time corner designed to develop your child’s listening and creative thinking skills.
Leo Lion’s Club also has a role play corner which theme changes monthly and has includes a play kitchen, jungle dress-up and construction corner.
Polly’s Pre-School

Polly’s Pre-School is for 2 – 4 year old children and like Leo Lion’s Club has a variety of stimulating and engaging areas and activities designed for children to learn while having fun at the same time. It includes a dress up corner, sand and water, cosy corner, construction corner and role play area.
Cody Croc’s Computer Swamp

Cody’s Computer Swamp is mainly used by the older kids (4 – 11 years old) for breakfast and after-school club. It includes a Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation where children can play interactive adventure games to develop their strategic understanding skills. It also includes computers for children to further their extra curricular acumen or work through their homework after school.
It’s a very spacious room where all kids are encouraged to play together to build their interactive game play, coordination and team-work skills.
Wanda’s Wash Room
Wanda’s Wash Room includes toilets, potty training and baby changing facilities. The rooms have been strategically designed so children in the Leo Lions club are directly next to the toilet facilities as they transition as part of their toilet training stage of development.
The Kitchen

Children at the nursery can eat three nutritionally-balanced meals each day (where applicable), which are freshly prepared by the in-house chef. Drinks and snacks are offered at regular intervals throughout the day.
Ellie’s Eatery
After the delicious meals are made in the kitchen they get sent to Ellie’s Eatery for children to enjoy.
The Garden

Outdoor learning can have a positive impact on a child’s development. It helps with children’s social skills as well as their long-term physical, emotional development and wellbeing.
The Garden is one of our favourite spaces at Zizu’s Day Care. It includes a wide range of activities which have been designed to provide children with a healthy and happy body and mind. The Garden includes a mud kitchen, woodland area, storytelling chair, sand and water play, climb and build corner, tyres and bikes. It allows kids to get active in the outdoors, breathe in fresh air and have fun at the same time.
